Free Kids Dental

Did you know that your child may be eligible for FREE general dental under the Government’s Child Dental Benefit Scheme? This dental benefit scheme was introduced by the Government to try and combat the current oral health issues that young children are facing.

The Child Dental Benefit Scheme (CDBS) applies to children aged between 2 to 17 years old and the financial support up to $1095 per child over two consecutive calendar years. Some of the treatments covered include dental check-ups, digital x-rays, clean and scales, fillings, fissures sealings and extractions (cosmetic and orthodontic treatments are not covered).

Children must be eligible for this scheme and it is means-tested therefore applies to those who are part of a family receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A or any related payments from the Australian Government.
